Prior to launching Henry Street Strategies, I served as Senior Strategist for OneOne Ventures, the political arm of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt’s family office. As OneOne’s only full-time staffer, I helped lead a portfolio of investments intended to catalyze innovation in Democratic politics and American democracy, with a core focus on technology and new media. I sourced projects, managed day-to-day operations, represented OneOne to a broad range of stakeholders, and worked closely with senior leadership to set strategic direction. Most rewarding of all, I built deep relationships with grantees, helping them iterate on their plans, develop a vision for “what good looks like,” and connect with aligned funders and peers.

Prior to joining OneOne, I served as a confidential advisor to the president of the Brennan Center for Justice for six and a half years. My “jack of all trades” role spanned research, writing, strategy development, and cutting red tape wherever I saw it. Before that, I worked on various political campaigns, including Corey Johnson’s campaign for New York City Council in 2013 and Hillary Clinton’s campaign for president in 2016.
